Types of Digital Radiography Detectors & Conversion Systems

Digital Radiography is advanced Technique of X-ray Conversion which produces Instant Digital Radiographic Images on a Computer connected by Wire or Wi-Fi.
Digital Radiography (DR) Detectors are often classified as Direct / Indirect Conversion DR Panels based on Image Conversion Physics & Techniques used by each type.
Direct DR Detectors convert the X-rays directly in Electrons that are measured by TFT Arrays & Converted into Digital Images. Direct DR Detectors achieves Higher Spatial Resolution by avoiding the blur created by Light Spread in Indirect Detectors.
Indirect DR Detectors Convert X-rays in Light Photons which are then measured & Converted in Digital Image by a-Si / CMOS / CCD Photodiodes & TFT Array.
